Our Previous Project

The WODA Cares is a WODA sustainability initiative run by the organisation.

The Global Fund Cycle 7 grant aims to address the urgent health needs of these vulnerable populations, particularly in relation to diseases such as HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis. It also has extended services to People using Drugs (PUD) and Transgender women (TGW), as well as non-communicable diseases and mental health issues.
Recognizing that health is fundamental to human dignity and development, this grant emphasizes the importance of inclusive healthcare systems that prioritize the most marginalized

The KASA project is a comprehensive initiative aimed at reducing sexual violence against women and girls in Accra. At its core, KASA seeks to empower girls to know their rights and to speak up against injustice. Through psychosocial support services, girls will receive the care and guidance they need to heal from trauma and build resilience. By educating the public using diverse tools such as radio and theatre performances, KASA will challenge harmful gender stereotypes and promote a culture of consent and respect.

KASA also recognizes the critical need to advocate for the rights of vulnerable women, particularly adolescent girls. By educating and lobbying diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, community leaders, and service providers, KASA will work to create a more just and supportive environment for all women and girls. Through its multifaceted approach, KASA aims to create a safe and enabling environment where women and girls can thrive, free from violence and discrimination. By amplifying the voices and rights of women and girls, KASA seeks to build a brighter, more equitable future for all.

Amplify Change is a groundbreaking initiative that aims to empower vulnerable women in Accra, amplifying their voices and promoting their rights. By providing training and resources, we seek to increase their knowledge and capacity for media advocacy, enabling them to challenge harmful stereotypes and stigma. Through this project, we will create a safe and supportive environment for vulnerable women to share their stories, access vital information, and connect with allies and advocates.

By amplifying the voices of vulnerable women, we aim to drive meaningful change and advocate for the decriminalisation against them. We believe that by working together, we can create a more just and equitable society where vulnerable women are valued, respected, and protected. Through media advocacy and public awareness campaigns, we will challenge discriminatory laws and policies, and promote a harm reduction approach that prioritises the health, safety, and human rights of such vulnerable women.

The Amplify Change project seeks to decriminalize sex work in Ghana

Join us in amplifying change and demanding a world where vulnerable women are treated with dignity and respect.

The Red Umbrella project is a staff capacity building initiative that prioritizes the security and wellbeing of vulnerable women in select communities in Accra, including Old Fadama, Circle, Railway, Chorkor, James town, and Mamprobi. This project recognizes the critical role that a strong and empowered team plays in delivering effective support services to women in need. By investing in the capacity building of our staff, we aim to enhance their skills, knowledge, and expertise, enabling them to provide high-quality support to vulnerable women.

Through the Red Umbrella project, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for women in our communities. Our staff will receive training on gender-based violence, trauma-informed care, and mental health support, enabling them to provide holistic support to women who have experienced violence, exploitation, and discrimination. By strengthening our staff capacity, we will be better equipped to address the complex needs of vulnerable women, promoting their overall wellbeing and empowerment. By providing a red umbrella of protection and support, we aim to create a safer, more inclusive community for all.
